Sony is removing the option of installing another OS (linux) and as a sneaky twist they are releasing the update conveniently on April Fools day so it’s possible some would assume that such an outrageously lame update is actually a joke. I see why the messages on the topic have slowed – it’s like Tienamen Square, or being a lawyer in Communist China. I only posted a hand full of times on SONY’s website, but today I checked back after about a week and attempted to post. Customers trying to be heard, eventually were forced to use dots or spaces between letters and even 1337 speak just to avoid having their messages automatically blocked by Sony’s string filters. On their blog post that announced the update the comments have reached over 6500 negative posts but the entire time countless legitimate and well spoken posts were being moderated and deleted. :/ Video here.Well Sony has removed the OtherOS support for their original PS3 fat systems – which is a feature that influenced many of us to purchase the console in the first place. Without a doubt, its biggest achievement right now. It`s quite amazing that PPSSPP can handle a game of this graphical fidelity so well so early in its life. I made a video here(EU version of the game).Īlso, I copied my Monster Hunter Freedom Unite save file over from Vita to do a more thorough testing of the game in the emulator. Just don`t forget to pop your Ridge Racer music of choice when playing. Some select few cars` textures don`t render properly, either partially or completely - they appear completely fine in menus, but look like a mess of shiny black polygons in-game. The sound seems to work well, but the music still cuts off after a few seconds. Ridge Racer 2`s emulation has been improved and the annoying bug that made cars visible through walls has been fixed. And if the game only supported the d-pad to begin with(e.g. Previously, you`d had to map the analog nub to the d-pad if you wanted the diagonals to register.
As of the last few revisions the emulator is now capable of recognizing the d-pad diagonal inputs.
